Joanne (Sceghi) Mongoo is a Traditional Owner of (Kultju) and Owner Operator of Pitijardi, with connections to.

Joanne has worked as the Administrator for Tjupan Sandalwood Harvesting, with Forrest Product, previously in the Health and Education roles in various positions in the Goldfields area.
Joanne is active within the business of Kultju, holding positions of Kultju Directors for 3 years. During the directorship, Joanne was also the Liaison / Heritage Officer for Surveys for various mining companies and Central Dessert. Joanne’s involvement in the delivery of Cultural Awareness to Companies and businesses within Kultju Native title area is to ensure that her family’s traditions and culture, for the Kultju areas are protected and passed on down to the younger generations while allowing her to provide employment opportunities for her families and members of Kultju with their knowledge and culture to build a better working relationship, and engagements between Kultju people and Mining companies, employees’ and Traditional owners.

Pitijardi Plans to establish the Cultural full day experience of Kultju people, to gain better knowledge and understanding of the land and culture of Traditional owners, and Mining companies, employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
It is the aim of Pitijardi to create a guide to establishing and nurturing a working relationship that understands and respects the Kultju – Tjupan people and wider Aboriginal community. It is imperative that participants understand and acknowledge Native Title holders’ significant connection to lands, heritage, and country, to enable future generations the continuance of culture and traditional ways.
It is also envisaged that through the delivery of this training, improved employment outcomes that display a high level of cultural respect, will be achieved for Kultju people and stakeholders.
Pitijardi visions to represent the traditional owners of Kultju to all stake’s holders, with knowledge of the Kultju people’s history and cultural and traditional aspects, and stakes holders’ involvements through employment and relationships with the Kultju people.
